課程概述 |
本課程延續上學期「高等流行病學方法」,在前半學期以Modern Epidemiology下半部為主要上課內容,透過講授及討論,增加學生理論流行病學知識及批判、獨立思考能力。在後半學期,帶領同學進入流行病學實證研究專題領域 (傳染病、慢性病),並實習以系統性回顧方式搜尋文獻,掌握全球最新研究脈動。課程的最後部分將著重培育對博士班學生極為實用的知能,包含如何管理知識、如何撰寫能被國際期刊接受的學術論文、以及如何撰寫能獲得經費補助的研究計畫書,在未來開展屬於學生自己的獨立學術生涯。

This course is a continuation of "Advanced Methods in Epidemiology” of the previous semester, with the reference textbook "Modern Epidemiology" as the main teaching material. In the first half of this semester, the teachers guide students to increase their knowledge on theoretical epidemiology, critical and independent thinking skills, through lectures and discussion training. In the second half of the semester, the teachers guide students step-by-step to understand topics in empirical epidemiological research (infectious diseases, chronic diseases), and practice systematic literature review to catch up with the latest global research. The last part of the course focuses on survival skill for PhD students, including knowledge management, how to write academic papers which can be accepted by international journals, and how to write a research proposal that can be funded, in order to help the student to create their own academic career in the future. |
